RGQ.1 - Recently Googled Questions

Looking at my site statistics, my site seems to be visited by curious googlers who type their searches in the form of questions. In case they try their searches again, here are my attempts at answers.

Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada searched “is interpol’s new album, our love to admire coming out on vinyl?”

As far as I can tell, the answer is yes. Their past albums, Turn on the Bright Lights and Antics as well as singles have been released on vinyl. Evidence here and here.

Camp Mountain, Queensland Australia searched “how to make an idiophone”

Not a true question, but it will be the title of this how-to:
How to make an idiophone:
1) find a saw
2) carefully and firmly hold each end of the saw, bending and wobbling it until it produces a sound.
The saw has become an idiophone.

My understanding is an idiophone is anything that produces a sound without being struck, plucked, blown into etc. When looking for a name for my site 4 or so years ago I did a search for obscure Elvis Costello references and found that a b-side existed called Idiophone. It was an instrumental I have yet to find (and have pretty much abandoned). I added the box because I imagined drawing a logo that included a stick,a dog, and a box with something in it, the something being a saw (how clever!). That never happened.

On a tangentially related note having to do with Elvis Costello and dogs, 29 years ago, almost to the day (May 28, 1978), my dad was stalking Elvis Costello from a radio station tip that someone in his band had lost a dog in the vicinity of a certain hotel. After he went to the show, my dad and his brother went to the hotel and caught Elvis still wearing his gold suit. They said hi, but I don’t believe they asked after the lost dog.
